UNITED for Men’s Health: Grounded in Equity
We at Whittier Street Health Center are preparing to host our annual Men’s Health Summit to address the disparities in men’s health care. The focus is on men, including at-risk African American and Latino men, in the Boston community. The Summit will bring together over 300 men and their families to increase access, knowledge, and resources needed to better their health and wellness. By bringing services into the community, the Summit allows men and their families’ access to quality health care, while focusing on positive health behaviors to improve emotional and physical health. Now in its twenty-second year, the Summit has generated successfully engaged and energized men to make healthier life choices.
This year’s Summit is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Whittier Street Health Center. The Summit is an opportunity to illustrate the importance of educating men and their families to take control of their health—physically, mentally, emotionally and socially—and to address the disparities in men’s health.
On behalf of Whittier, I would like to request your participation as a sponsor of this year’s Men’s Health Summit. The event will include a health fair as well as health screenings for high blood pressure, glaucoma, prostate cancer and more. Additionally, there will be a panel discussion with health professional and awards ceremony.
By having a table present to display information around men’s health, your organization will simply provide as much information possible to help in combating issues most often ignored.
Please confirm if your organization will be able to display health information. There is a cost of $50.00 per table and table cover (you can bring your own company display table cover).
Please send this completed form and payment to: events@wshc.org or send to The Development Department at Whittier Street Health Center
