The Walk for INDEPENDENCE is going virtual this year! With a virtual walk, you’ll be able to pick your own route, who you do it with, and what time you start; all in support of the Carroll Center for the Blind’s mission to empower individuals who are blind and visually impaired. Then, on Sunday, June 28th, join us for a live virtual Walk for INDEPENDENCE celebration featuring some very special guests! Now more than ever, we need your support and together we can make a difference.
We encourage you to register today as a virtual walker (there is no fundraising minimum), get creative, and start gathering your team members. You can create a team with your family, motivate your friends to get active, or join a team with colleagues or staff. Guide dogs and family pets are welcome! Then, get outside for some much-needed fresh air and exercise. If it’s deemed safe and if you’re comfortable doing so, plan a walk outside and do the 1 or 3 miles you had planned on doing in support of the Carroll Center. Take lots of photos and share while making sure to tag the Carroll Center! If you’ve already taken part in one of our Annual Walks, you can sign in here with your existing account.
