Tech Networks of Boston ( also known as “TNB“) hosts Roundtable sessions every other Friday afternoon; these are informal discussions and presentations, on a wide range of topics of interest to TNB’s staff, nonprofit clients, and friends.
We hope that you will join us on July 18th, when our featured speaker will be Susan Labandibar, the founder of Tech Networks of Boston. The topic will be “Strategic Technology Tools for Nonprofit Resilience.”
Here’s what Susan says about this TNB Roundtable session:
Climate change is one of the many factors increasing the risk of social, economic and political disruption today. Nonprofit organizations that are planning for the future will require more a contingency or a disaster recovery plan. Strategic resilience for mission-based organizations is about continuously anticipating change, having the capacity to adapt, and being willing to take action. For the first time, nonprofit professionals are seeing cloud-based technology tools not simply as a way of protecting data, but as a way of building strategic resilience into the organizational model. Please join us for a discussion on how we use cloud-based software to access new forms of knowledge, to build persistent community connections, and to empower our stakeholder groups.
Here’s a bit more about Susan:
Susan Labandibar founded Tech Networks of Boston in 1994 to deliver reliable used computers to cash-strapped urban students who needed an affordable way to type college papers at home. Since those early days of crawling under desks searching for power outlets, Susan has continued to find innovative ways to deliver technology to the community while protecting the environment.
Twenty years later, Susan and 45 other Tech Networks employees focus on building collaborative IT service partnerships with larger non-profit and for-profit organizations. Tech Networks IT Service Managers work hand-in-hand with clients to plan and provision a full range of IT services including IT strategy, remote support, network monitoring, training programs, cloud migrations and infrastructure projects.
Susan volunteers for non-profit organizations, including 350 Massachusetts, the Climate Reality Project, Citizen’s Climate Lobby, South Boston Grows, Interise and the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts, where she serves as President of the Board.
Please note that session will NOT be a sales pitch for any product or service. The TNB Roundtable series is an educational opportunity for nonprofit professionals to learn along with their peers from other organizations.
