Youth in foster care can often experience many transitions throughout their life. At Silver Lining Mentoring, we match youth with dedicated, committed mentors who show up time and time again for the youth we serve.
You don’t need a special background to be a mentor, just a desire to be a supportive, consistent presence to a young adult who needs stable support as they develop life skills.
In the city of Boston, Latino youth are nearly five times more likely than white youth to live in poverty. For black men, the unemployment rate is almost four times that of white men. We especially need role models of color to be the supportive adults that enable our youth to see the world differently. Your commitment can help us build a whole community of supports around our youth. Join us for a community chat to learn how you can become a Silver Lining Mentor! Help us give youth the support that they deserve!
Mentors are required to commit 12 months of service mentee and must be at least 21 years old.
