Shelter Music Boston brings the healing power of live classical music to the Metropolitan Wateworks Museum. Come see the magnificent Gilded Age Waterworks building opposite the Chestnut Hill Reservoir and hear the music of the era. Through their works, SMB and the Waterworks share a mission of improving the lives of Boston area residents by providing access to innovative arts and culture experiences.
The concert will present music from SMB’s women composers project, the artistic program that brings the often unfamiliar work of women composers to our shelter audiences. Featured composers include Maddalena Sirmen, Germaine Tailleferre, and Florence Price.
