Virtual Party for PYD 2021 is our annual gala and fundraiser to increase awareness of the mentoring for young people with disabilities and celebrate honorees who increase the inclusivity of workplaces, organizations, and communities. The event raises vital funds for PYD’s programs. Since last March, all PYD programs have been 100% virtual, providing a critical connection to community for young people with disabilities who have experienced higher social isolation due to increased health risks associated with COVID.
Party for PYD honors our Legends and Innovator awardees, enjoys youth performances and a silent auction, and celebrates PYD programs (career readiness, theater arts, and leadership) and participant success.
Honorees this year include Paul Grogan, President, The Boston Foundation; Margaret Covell, PYD Board of Directors President, and Keisha Greaves, founder of Girls Chronically Rock, a clothing line for people with and without disabilities.
PYD’s goal is to create a world where young people with disabilities will be able to live with dignity and pride in who they are, and to lead self-determined lives filled with purpose. To make this happen, we build the skills and abilities of young people with disabilities, and increase the inclusivity of workplaces, organizations, and communities.
