The New England Women’s Leadership Awards (NEWLA) has been celebrating inspiring
women for nearly 30 years. NEWLA was one of the first events of its kind in the Boston
area, recognizing remarkable women who meet the challenges they face with
confidence, persistence and compassion. Emmy Award-winning news anchor for
WBZ-TV, Lisa Hughes, will emcee this special evening and shine a light on this year’s
honorees and their contributions. Lisa and our honorees are role models and mentors
for our members – their stories inspire our young girls (and boys) to dream big, work
hard and succeed. We hope you will join us this year for another evening that will touch hearts and change lives.
Our past events have been featured in The Boston Globe, Boston Magazine,
