This year’s 2017 Gala theme will celebrate Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly’s model of community, dignity and independence affordable for all. To add to the excitement and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, this year’s gala will feature a very special guest: award-winning New Yorker cartoonist and author Roz Chast. Ms. Chast, whose graphic memoir about the aging of her parents Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant? won the 2014 National Book Critics Circle Award, will undoubtedly make a poignant and hilarious presentation. Lead sponsors will also have access to an exclusive meet-and-greet book signing for Roz’s hot- off- the- press new book, Going Into Town.
