Framingham brewery Jack’s Abby has partnered once again with the United Way of Tri-County to host the Jack’s Abby/United Way 5K on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 10 a.m. Runners start and finish at the brewery (100 Clinton St.) and get a cozy long-sleeve t-shirt and one free lager after the 3.1-mile race — provided they’re over 21 with proper ID, of course.
Proceeds from the $30 registration fee ($25 for kids 14 and under) benefit several United Way programs, including three local food pantries; Call2Talk, a mental health, emotional support, and suicide prevention help line; and Ready to Read, an early literacy program that provides books to at risk-children.
Run for a cause, sip a cold brew, then relax and feel good about supporting local community programs.
There will be music, a free photobooth, 50/50 raffle, and prizes for the fastest male and female in eight age categories as well as individual and top fundraiser prizes. When you order food from Jack’s Abby delicious food menu after the race, a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the United Way. The race will be capped at 600 runners so register early and reserve your spot soon!
