Thank you for considering support of Friends of the Children-Boston’s 12 plus year comprehensive mentoring program through our 10th Annual Friend Raiser!
This is a particularly exciting Friend Raiser for us because we will be celebrating our first class of Achievers. They were first graders in that first year at Friends-Boston and now they are in high school! Guiding their growth and development for 10 years has been amazing but our work is not complete until they graduate from high school and go to college. To do so we need the support of our community.
Friends of the Children-Boston creates generational change by engaging children from high-risk communities in 12 years of transformative mentoring relationships. Our program consists of 16-20 hours a month of comprehensive mentoring and advocacy services; we commit to our youth beginning in the 1st grade and work relentlessly with them until they graduate high school. A dedication to young people no other nonprofit in Massachusetts can claim.
We call the children and youth ages 6-16 we serve Achievers to demonstrate our belief in their potential. With the support of Company Name, our Achievers will reach the ultimate goal of high school graduation and college and life success.
We have high aspirations of making it a memorable evening with an inspirational theme of Friends-Boston – “Our Achievers Then and Now”. We hope to break $350,000 this year in honor of our first class of Achievers and in celebration of 10 years of creating generational change. Individual tickets are $250 and sponsorship and recognition opportunities are attached.
If you have any questions or require additional information about the event feel free to contact Stacy Dell’Orfano, Director of Development, at 617-983-3682 or stacy@friendsboston.org.
