On Saturday October 1st, Flying Kites, a Boston-based nonprofit organization igniting the potential of vulnerable children in rural Kenya, will be hosting our Annual 5K Dash for Dreams around the Chestnut Hill Reservoir. The 5K will take you around the gorgeous reservoir and your run or walk will be timed by Spitler Race Systems.
Flying Kites works in rural Kenya with some of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable children. Our school and LaunchPad program help students become leaders by providing them with a competitive education so that they may build their best lives and positively impact their families, communities, and country. Our work stands apart and our impact is profound, due to the deep and long-term investments we make in the lives of young people. Ticket sales from the event will go to support our students and our expanding campus in Njabini, Kenya.
Registration for the race begins at 8:00 AM. The 5k road race starts promptly at 9:00 AM.
