The Bridge Center, a non-profit (501)(c)( 3) therapeutic recreation and equine therapy facility that serves children and youth with developmental, physical and emotional disabilities, will host its first annual Bridging Abilities Obstacle Challenge 5K in Bridgewater, MA.
Situated on 20+ acres, participants will have the opportunity to take part in an adaptive all-abilities course, children’s course or traditional 5K mud run. Entry fees range between $25 -$55. Participants and spectators will have a wide range of vendors to peruse, food truck fare provided by Big Daddy’s Food Truck and more. Proceeds from the event will go directly to The Bridge Center.
“We are so thrilled to introduce the Bridging Abilities Obstacle Challenge 5K on May 17th. This is a wonderful opportunity for families of The Bridge Center and the greater Bridgewater community to take part in a shared experience that breaks the boundaries often associated with disability” said Anna Wood, Executive Director of The Bridge Center. “This will be a wonderful new tradition that brings the heart of our mission front and center, offering a recreational activity that everyone can be a part of.”
Interested runners can register themselves or a team online on The Bridge Center’s website at http://www.thebridgectr.org.
