South Shore Art Center (SSAC), the region’s premiere art center will honor Keith Lockhart, the conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra, as part of its 60th Anniversary celebration. The Art Festival Gala, which expects nearly 350 attendees, will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 6 p.m. on the grounds of South Shore Music Circus. Highlights include special guests Livingston Taylor and celebrity chefs Ming Tsai and Lydia Shire, and music by the Boston Pops Rhythm Section. The Gala is being co-chaired by SSAC board members Frank Neer of Coldwell Banker and Mark Tosi of Pastene Foods.

A non-profit organization formed in 1954, South Shore Art Center is dedicated to enriching the communities south of Boston by fostering an understanding and appreciation of the visual arts through exhibitions and education. In addition to a nationally-recognized exhibition program, the Art Center offers courses and workshops for adults and children, and enrichment programs to area schools.
