Boston JerkFest is a family-friendly Caribbean style food festival that features Jamaican jerk spiced food and all things spicy and jerk hot! Bring your friends and family and join us for a unique and memorable experience that is full of spice, fun and food!
Boston JerkFest benefits the following organizations: Haley House, Sustainable Food and Culture, Teens Advocating for a Global Vision and Cambridge Carnival Youth Steel Orchestra.
Wine & Brew Tasting (Friday, July 5, 2019)
The Wine & Brew Tasting will include Cocktail Demos featuring vendors who will stir up the best “Irie” drinks. The Caribbean Cocktail Throwdown is on the outdoor patio with some of Boston’s hottest Mixologists. DJ’s will our patrons rocking in the Reggae Lounge. The Reggae Lounge will feature an adult chill out play space with domino games, DJ Nomadik and more. Maybe Captain Jack can join us this again.
Spicy and Jerk Hot Food for Sale – Sunday
The festival offers authentic Caribbean, international, and local spicy food for sale, including: spicy meals, jams, snacks, and desserts, as well as traditional home-made drinks from the Caribbean. A selected group of craft vendors will have their wares on sale on both days.
Chef Demos – Sunday
Boston JerkFest will showcase local Chefs with our Chef Demo sessions. Chefs compete for bragging rights at the 2019 Boston JerkFest Seafood Throwdown. Judges and dozens of attenteed will dive in to local seafood
Jerk Cook-off (see website for info)
Music – Sunday
Boston JerkFest features DJ over 2 days and live music in Saturday, jamming to the tunes of reggae, soca, steel drums, world music, latin rhythms and more and jamming live music to get your “Irie” on. DJ Nomadik and DJ Smoov will rock the house indoors and outdoors again this year. 97.7FM is our exclusive radio sponsor and will join us on both days.
House of Nahdra Fashion Showcase – Sunday
Boston JerkFest is so excited to welcome The House Of Nahdra to this year’s festival. Nahdra, one of Boston’s top designers and her tribe will grace our event and stage with a love-centered talented showcase.
BLACK MARKET Pop-up- Sunday
A new addition to the festival this year is the Black Market Pop-up. BLACK MARKET is a retail pop-up market in Dudley Square established by local entrepreneurs for local entrepreneurs driven by the mission to revitalize Boston’s Black Creative Economy.
Family Fun with Kids & Culture Zone – Sunday
Boston JerkFest is a family-friendly festival filled with activities for all ages! The Kids & Culture offers face painting, jamming with the pans, storytelling, and arts and craft activities and games.
