Step Out for Hospice on Sunday, Oct. 1, features a 1-Mile Fun Run for kids at 11:30 am (free, limited number of free T-shirts available), 3-Mile Walk at noon ($30 preregistration/$40 day of), 5-Mile Road Race at 12:30 pm ($30 preregistration/$40 day of), and post-walk/run celebration including live music and refreshments. Step Out for Hospice long-sleeve shirts are guaranteed for walk/road race entries received by Sept. 27. Registration/check-in begins at 10 am outside the Irish American Club of Woburn, 147 Main St. (next to Walgreens). The event benefits VNA Hospice & Palliative Care’s services for terminally ill patients and their loved ones.
