The Northeast Electrification Symposium: Pathways to Decarbonization is a partnership between Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP), Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM), and Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). These three organizations will convene a deeper dive conference into the specific, regional issues and opportunities associated with end use electrification and its costs and benefits.
At this two-day conference held at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott in New York, we will provide an inspiring regional dialogue of government, industry, community and advocacy leaders to address the opportunities, trends, and challenges of minimizing the carbon footprint of homes, buildings, and transportation in the Northeast U.S. We will explore how building decarbonization and electrified transportation have the potential to transform energy use in the region.
Co-chaired by Alicia Barton, CEO of New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Gil C. Quiniones, CEO of the New York Power Authority, the event will bring together government and regulatory bodies with utilities, researchers, academia, manufacturers, vendors, and industry stakeholders to listen, learn, and network in two primary breakout tracks focused on buildings decarbonization and electric transportation.
