Join us for our third annual Veterans Leadership Dinner – a phenomenal evening of entertainment dedicated to honoring our veterans and supporting those in need! Two years ago, we launched the Veterans Leadership Dinner to in order to raise awareness and raise funds to cover the cost of caring for low-income and homeless veterans in our community. But don’t let the name fool you – this night has much more to offer besides an outstanding dinner. It’s a celebration, complete with live music, passionate, intelligent guest speakers addressing veterans’ issues, an extensive silent auction, and awards given to local civilians who have championed veteran causes in the greater Boston community.
On that night we will celebrate veterans who have chosen to turn their lives around, now that they have found a place to call home at our program, the Massachusetts Bay Veterans Center. We’ll also celebrate the 800 veterans’ families who escaped homelessness with the help of our Supportive Services for Veterans Families program, which gives emergency resources to veterans and families at risk of being evicted. We’ll also celebrate the veterans who have diligently found full time jobs with our Veterans Employment Network, which provides veterans with favorable career prospects.
Most importantly, we’ll be celebrating people like you: our community, donors, volunteers and sponsors who make it possible for us to give veterans the support they need. We cannot provide these meaningful services without your help.
We would be grateful to celebrate you as someone who stands up for veterans – join our mission to support veterans in need by coming to the Veterans Leadership Dinner! This year, our goal is to build on the successes of the two previous years: growing the number of sponsors, auction donations, and attendees so we may continue to reach veterans who are most in need. The 2014 Veterans Leadership Dinner will be held at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library. It will feature an expanded silent auction with opportunities to bid on great prizes like JetBlue Airways Tickets, or an autographed Bruins hockey stick! We will also host a guest speaker from the Boston Veteran Community, and an awards ceremony.
