It’s Turkey Trot time again! Ray Ciccolo’s Boston Volvo Village of Brighton is sponsoring their Annual Boston Volvo 5k Road Race to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater New England Chapter.
The Thanksgiving Day 5k has become a tradition for more than 1,000 runners each year. The Race begins at Boston Volvo Village at 9:00am, winds through the streets of Brighton and ends where it began back at the dealership.
Anyone who is looking to raise money to fight MS, to participate in one of the area’s oldest 5ks or just to have an aerobic start to the day to make room for turkey is welcome to participate! The first 750 people to register receive a free race T-shirt and prizes will be given to the top finishers.
Registration cost is $20 and can be completed online at main.nationalmssociety.org/volvo5k any time before noon on Tuesday, November 25th. Otherwise, participants can register for $25 on-site beginning at 7:30am the morning of the race.
For more than 60 years, the Greater New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (www.MSnewengland.org) has provided help for today and hope for tomorrow to nearly 21,000 individuals and families affected by MS in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Rhode Island. Runners and sponsors of the Boston Volvo Village 5k Road Race raise money which helps fund cutting edge research to stop disease progression, restore lost function, and end MS forever.
