College Bound Dorchester will be announcing a bold new initiative Boston Uncornered at 2017 We Are College Bound, the organization’s annual gala. Up to 400 people will gather to celebrate the nonprofit’s 13th year of working with young people and using education as a means to transform lives and change the neighborhood of Dorchester from within.
Boston Police Commissioner William Evans will receive the nonprofit’s Champion of the Year award. State Senate Assistant Majority Whip Linda Dorcena Forry (D – Dorchester) will be acting as the emcee for the speaking portion of the event, which will celebrate students who have benefited from the program. The night will begin with a cocktail reception.
