A Toast to Hospice of Cambridge, the 25th anniversary celebration and benefit for the first hospice residence in Massachusetts, will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, 113 Brattle St., Cambridge. The Elizabeth Evarts de Rham Hospice Home opened in 1991 in Cambridge as Chilton House. Staff and volunteers at the residence provide compassionate care to terminally ill patients and their loved ones in homelike surroundings. The evening includes a champagne toast and hors d’oeuvres.
