The 27th Quincy Lunar New Year Festival presented by Quincy Asian Resources, Inc. and sponsored by South Cove Community Health Center and many other local businesses, is set to be on March 1st from 10:30AM-4:00PM at North Quincy High School.
The Festival will kick off with a Lion Dance at 10:45 AM.
The festival is just part of the global celebration of the Lunar Year of the Goat.
The festival this year celebrates 2,000 years of Chinese Literature with a New Culture Area featuring paper making, Chinese calligraphy and and painting, and a feature provided by Thomas Crane Public Library.
There will also be:
-New decorations from our Youth ServiceCorps
-A Frozen themed Children’s Area provided by the South Shore YMCA
-More than 300 Performers
-Photo Booth
-And exhibits from local businesses and organizations in the area
-And More
The North Quincy MBTA Lot will also be offering free parking throughout the day for the festival.
The entire festival is free to the public thanks to Presenting Sponsor South Cove Community Health Center, along with dozens of other businesses, community organizations, and government and social service agencies, many of which will be available with information tables within the exhibit area.
