The lung cancer community is on a mission to make surviving lung cancer the expectation, not the exception. Hundreds of local residents will join in that mission by participating in the Chelmsford Free to Breathe 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Walk on Sunday, September 18 at Harrington Elementary School. Attendees can participate in a 5K run/walk and 1-mile walk as well as an opening rally, a kids’ dash, silent auction, and closing rally. All proceeds from the event support Free to Breathe, a lung cancer research and advocacy organization dedicated to doubling lung cancer survival by 2022. Online registration ($25, or $15 for youth ages 12 and under) closes September 14. Mail-in registration ($28, or $18 for youth ages 12 and under) closes September 12. You can also register event day for $30 (or $20 for youth ages 12 and under).
