Garden in the Woods
Among our most beloved wildflowers, trilliums trace their lineage back 60 million years to the great temperate forests that once circled the globe, and these photogenic woodlanders possess a certain refinement and unhurried approach to life that can only come with age. Of the 48 species in the world, a full 75 percent occur only in the forests of eastern North America. Join William Cullina for a tour of the genus Trillium, illustrated with gorgeous photographs and exploring the evolution, distribution, and ecology of the plants as well as the charms and eccentricities of the eastern species.
