Framingham, MA— The United Way of Tri-County (UWTC) and the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce will host the Women of Impact Luncheon on Friday, May 6th, 2016 at 11:30 am at the Framingham Country Club. This luncheon honors the winner of the 2016 MetroWest ATHENA Leadership Award®.
Cheryl Cronin, the Chief Executive Officer of the Boston Public Market Association, will be the keynote speaker. Cheryl is a leader in both corporate and non-profit communities. She has served on the Boards of Directors of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, the Greenway Conservancy, the University of Massachusetts Amherst Foundation, the Alliance for Business Leadership, and the Board of the National Center for Time & Learning/Mass 2020. Cheryl currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Boston Public Library, and on the Board of Sail Boston.
Cheryl’s leadership has been recognized across the Commonwealth. She has received many awards and is included in Boston Magazine’s list of 50 most powerful women. “Cheryl exemplifies a female business leader in the community who understands the importance of giving back as well as reaching out to support women in achieving their goals,” said Jen Maseda, Chief Philanthropy Officer at UWTC.
The 2016 ATHENA Award, through a partnership between the UWTC and the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce, will be awarded to one women leader in the MetroWest community for her achievement in the areas of professional excellence, meaningful contribution to community service, and active assistance to other women in their attainment of professional and leadership skills.
“This year’s ATHENA Award honoree will join a prestigious list of past recipients,” according to MetroWest Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Paul Joseph. “We look forward to celebrating her accomplishments and lasting contributions to our community at this year’s Women of Impact Luncheon.”
