On Saturday, April 16, Mudflat Pottery School will host the third annual Empty Bowls event. All proceeds will benefit Food For Free, a Cambridge nonprofit which rescues fresh food that would otherwise go to waste and distributes it to those in need. This event is being presented in partnership with Whole Foods Markets in Cambridge and Somerville. Upon arrival, guests will choose a handmade ceramic bowl, made by Mudflat Pottery School artisans, and fill it with helpings of delicious soups. Soup and bread will be provided by local businesses,including Whole Foods Market, Viale, Highland Kitchen, Season to Taste Catering, UNO Harvard Square and others. The handmade bowl is each guest’s keepsake, to serve as a reminder of all the empty bowls in their community. Guests can to enter to win raffle items donated by local businesses, such as Flatbread Somerville, Harvard Art Museums, Redbones BBQ and Urban Adventours. Live music will be performed by Anthony Leva and Samodivi. Ticket prices are as follows:
